Terrorists opened fire on Army convoy near Kadhabal area of Pampore in Pulwana district of Kashmir on Saturday afternoon. In this incident, Three Army Soldiers were killed. The Militants fled from the spot after the sudden attack. This is second such terror attack in Pampore this year.
Immediately, Army launched a massive search operation to avenge the coward act of the terrorists. Locals have been alerted about the presence of terrorists.
CRPF IG told that security forces retaliated when terrorists attacked but couldn't fire openly because of the presence of public. He, however, says Militants were forced to run away due to counter attack by Army.
The highway stretch at Pampore connects Srinagar with Jammu. On many occasions, Terrorists have targeted Army personnel in this route which is used to carry supplies to Srinagar-based 15 Corp.
