A Bipartisan Lawsuit Filed Against Facebook, Company To Go Through Scrutiny!

A bunch of states in the United States which are very skeptical about the California-based American social media conglomerate corporation Facebook filed massive lawsuits against the company.

Reports claimed that Forty-eight attorneys general across 46 states have sued Facebook on the grounds of taking illegal steps to by the rivals to choke the competition.

In the lawsuits, the attorney generals are said to have maintained that Facebook has taken the illegal steps to buy the competing companies and quoted the examples of how Facebook acquitted Instagram and WhatsApp.

The lawsuits were also claimed to have filed requesting the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia to direct Facebook from not acquisition the opponent companies that are valued at or over $10 million without prior intimation to plaintiff states

Talking about the massive lawsuits, New York Attorney General Letitia James said many states in the US have joined hands in filing the lawsuits as they believe the steps taken by Facebook to dominate the markets are unethical.

Tracing the history of Facebook, this is not the first time, Facebook faced allegations of using unethical practices to acquire the companies.

With the bipartisan lawsuit filed this time, Facebook will have to go through a lot of scrutinies. Let us wait and see how the company fares in the scrutinies.
