The construction of the Ram Mandir started today after Mahant Nritya Gopal Das, chairman of the Ram Janmabhoomi Teertha Kshetra Trust paid obeisance to Ram Lalla, the infant Lord Ram and performed pooja in Ayodhya.
After performing pooja at the holy site of Ayodhya, the trust Chairman went to the temple site and inspected the leveling work which is underway at the site.
Lord Ram Lalla was moved out of the makeshift temple in Ayodhya after a long gap of 25 years and the idol of the deity was also shifted to the Manas Bhawan. UP CM Yogi Adirtyanath was also present then.
The Century old despite came to an end with the five-judge Constitutional bench led by the then Chief Justice Ranjan Gogoi had said announced verdict to construct a temple for Lord Rama in the disputed land and asked the Centre to allot 5 acres of alternative lands to Sunni Waqf Board to construct a mosque.
