The three days time dedicated to file nominations for the fast approaching GHMC elections ended at 3 PM today. The Telangana election schedule gave three days from November 18-20 to file the nominations.
The civic body elections have created a sensation among the political observers and analysts as the ruling Telangana Rashtra Samithi(TRS) and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) are taking the polls seriously.
Reports claimed that as today is the last date to file nominations in the civic body polls many nominations were filed. More than 700 candidates have filed their nominations allegedly.
Both BJP and TRS are confident of winning the civic body polls. The parties showered promises for the voters in their respective election manifestos for the GHMC elections.
TRS party promised four auditoriums and hi-tech stadiums in Hyderabad if they win the elections. The party also promised to modernize all the libraries in the GHMC region.
BJP took a step ahead and promised to offer financial assistance of Rs 20,000 for the families who were affected by floods in the capital city.
Though Congress and TDP have also announced to contest the GHMC elections, the political analysts are in the opinion that the main fight will be between TRS and BJP.
