The much awaited flick 'Toofan' starring Ram Charan in the lead has hit the screens Today (September 6th) and it must be said that the film failed to live-up to the expectations. Charan delivers a decent performance in the role of ACP Vijay Khanna, Priyanka Chopra looks just eye-candy, bonding between Cherry-Srihari (Sher Khan) lacks emotional depth, placement of songs is bad, less comedy quotient, poor music, not so impressive dialogues and just ok cinematography. Overall, 'Toofan' lacks the punch and it is definitely not the film Charan should have chosen for his Bollywood debut.
On the other hand, the screening of 'Toofan' has been stopped in several areas all over AP and chances of Day 1 shows look bleak in Ceeded territory and few parts of Telangana. The film might get a smooth release in Hyderabad, Krishna and Vizag, but no speed fulls were recorded unlike Charan's previous releases and this is surely a bad sign. Most of the Telugus have been considering it as a dubbed flick though it's a direct film as per the Censor and this will also have a negative impact on the revenues of Toofan in AP.
In the wake of agitations in Seemandhra and Telangana regions, Reliance Entertainment has insured the film to escape the huge losses and now this is the only hope for the production house to be in a safe zone
