Update: 2019-10-19 11:46 GMT
The by-elections in Huzur Nagar has reached the final stage. According to the political circles, the main competition will be between Congress and TRS parties. The Congress leaders are working very hard to win the elections as Huzur Nagar is their sitting position. Two Mandals are crucial for the Huzur Nagar constituency.

According to the reports both the parties are trying to impress the voters there. Mella Cheruvu and Chintalapalem Mandals decide the winner of the Huzur Nagar constituency. Both the Mandals have almost more than 50,000 voters. With the two constituencies together voting for a total of 50 thousand votes, the two major parties are working hard to woo voters with house-to-house campaigns. Mella Cheruvu looks very crucial. There are Nine cement factories in Mella Cheruvu which is the wealthiest Mandal. In spite of being the richest Mandal, the shortage of accommodation in education is troubling the students.

Until 2004, Mella Cheruvu was pert of Kodada constituency. TDP used to have a very good hold then. In 2009, Mella Cheruvu Mandal became a part of Huzur Nagar constituency. Congress Party State President Uttam Kumar Reddy won the elections easily as he has a very good hold there. Uttam Kumar won the elections with a good majority in the 2004 and 2019 elections. As his wife is contesting now, the Congress party is expecting Uttam's vote bank will make her win. However, the TRS leaders are in the ring to fire it.

The Congress party candidate Padmavati is trying to woo the voters with a house-to-house campaign. They are even saying that the TRS candidate is Andhra settler and vote for Telangana leader. On the other hand, with the majority of Andhra settlers in the Chintapalem constituency, there are signs that the TDP might get more votes. If this happens, the Congress party is expected to suffer. According to the reports Congress party is planning to seek from TDP and the TRS party is trying to win the vote bank of TDP.
