These Two Countries Ready To Host IPL 2020

Update: 2020-06-07 10:00 GMT
The Thirteenth Edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) is stalled until further notice due to the ongoing Coronavirus pandemic. The BCCI is looking to organise the tournament in October-November window if the T20 World Cup is suspended this year.

Meanwhile, there are speculations that BCCI is ready to shift the tournament out of India if needed.

Amid these speculations, the UAE Cricket Board has confirmed that it has offered the BCCI to host the IPL this year. In 2009, the first half of the IPL was played in UAE due to general elections in India.

"In the past, Emirates Cricket Board has successfully hosted IPL matches in UAE. We have a proven record of being hosts as a neutral venue for various bilateral and multi-nation cricket activities in the past. Our state-of-the-art venues and facilities make the Emirates a desired place for hosting all types of cricket," said general secretary Mubashshir Usmani.

Now, another cricket board of Sri Lanka has came forward to host the IPL this year. The ball is in the ICC court as the IPL 2020 depends on the ICC’s decision on the T20 World Cup.
