As of now two politicians â former Rajya Sabha MP KVP Ramachandra Rao and former Lok Sabha MP Vundavalli Arun Kumar are sure of attending the meeting called by late YSRâs wife YS Vijayamma. Both the leaders are known to be extremely close to YSR and value their association with him. Both have decided to attend the meeting irrespective of politics. KVP is considered the alter-ego of YSR, while Vundavalli owes his political career to YSR. It was YSR who promoted him as a translator and introduced him to Rajiv and Sonia Gandhi.
Highly placed sources say that over 300 invitations have been sent to several associates of YSR. However, , how many of them will attend the proposed meeting called by YS Vijayamma is a big question? This has become a hot topic of discussion among the politicians in both the states. Interestingly, though the meeting is being portrayed as a non-political one, the invitations have gone only to politicians.
If sources are to be believed, those leaders who are now in the TDP and TRS will not attend the meeting. Similarly, AP Chief Minister YS Jagan may not take it kindly if anyone of his MPs or MLAs attended the meet. Already there are reports that YS Jagan is keeping a tab on all former colleagues of the YSR. Also, those who were with the YSR way back in 2009 are now in different parties and may not be able to join the meet.
Meanwhile, hectic preparations are on to make this Atmeeya Samavesham a huge success. Vijayamma and her daughter YS Sharmila are currently in Idupulapaya. They will offer their tributes to late YSR at Idupulapaya on Thursday and then reach Hyderabad to attend the Atmeeya Samavesham.
