Politics is a power game and parties always aim to gain power. Leaders often shift their loyalties and join the ruling party from the opposition. The reason for this is that they can get posts from the ruling party.

But a leader in Andhra Pradesh surprised everyone by leaving the ruling YSRCP for the opposition TDP. He is all set to join the opposition TDP soon and will make a formal announcement.

According to the media reports, YSRCP leader and former Legislator David Raju is not happy with the YSRCP and wants to join the opposition TDP.

It is said that the leader is irked with the YSRCP for not giving him importance in the party, which is why he has decided to leave the party for the TDP party. He is waiting for the nod from the TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu.

Once the TDP chief gives his nod, he will make a formal announcement on his exit from the YSRCP and will join the TDP party in the presence of Chandrababu Naidu, as per the reports.

Looking at his political career, he was elected to the Legislative Assembly in 1999. Later in 2014, he emerged victorious as MLA from the Yerragondapalem constituency on a YSRCP ticket. However, he joined the then ruling TDP party after the elections.

However, he claimed that he was not given importance in the TDP and joined the YSRCP before the 2019 elections. Now, citing the same reason, he is reportedly making arrangements to join TDP.
