Though CM YS Jagan Mohan Reddy is focusing on the development of Prakasam district in a planned manner and has asked ministers from the district, Balineni Srinivas Reddy and Adimulapu Suresh to ensure systematic implementation of all the flagship schemes, one MLA is said to be undoing everything that Jagan is doing.
The MLA in question is said to be bringing a bad name to the YSRCP government by demanding cuts in the real estate deals and other important contracts in the constituency. It is being rumoured that the MLA's brother is demanding Rs 5 lakh per acre from the real estate businessmen. Some YSRCP leaders and contractors have directly sent complaints against this MLA to the party's high command. The YSRCP top leadership has reportedly got these complaints investigated into and found truth in the allegations. Sources say that the party's top leadership is planning to call this MLA to Tadepalli and seek an explanation from him. A call is expected anytime soon.
Meanwhile, several YSRCP workers and grassroot level leaders too have had a tough time with the MLA and his brother. They too are said to have taken up the issue with the YSRCP leadership. A large number of complaints have already reached the high command, sources said.
