National Intelligence Agency (NIA) on Monday arrested three men who are believed to be al-Qaeda Operatives after raids at several places in Madurai, Tamil Nadu. The arrested men were identified as Abbas Ali, Asif Sultan Mohammed and M Khareem.
Tamil Nadu Police said those al-Qaeda Operatives are planning to attack 22 top brass leaders in India. The target include Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
The terrorists trio were running al-Qaeda unit in South Tamil Nadu. NIA seized explosive materials and firearms during the raids conducted Today with specific information. The arrested al-Qaeda Activists were threatening embassies of several countries in India. They also have a role in explosions which took place in several courts.
Search for two more al-Qaeda operatives identified as Hakeem and Dawood Sulaiman is going on.
