Three-Fourth Of H-1B Visa Holders Are Indians

As per US Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS), About 4,19,637 foreign nationals are working in the US on H-1B Visas as on October 5th, 2018. Out of these, As many as 3,09,986 are Indian Nationals. Which means, Close to three out of every four H-1B Visa Holders are Indians. China occupies second position with 47,172 H-1B Visa Holders. Canada and South Korea account to 1.1 percent each on H-1B Visas. Rest of the nations constitute less than 1 percent.

Gender Disparity has been massive when it comes to H-1B Visas. Only 1 out of every 4 H-1B Visa Holders is a female. There are 1,06,096 (25.3 percent) female H-1B Holders as against 3,11,997 Males (74.3 percent).

When it comes to Indians, Gender Disparity is much higher. While 63,220 (20.4 percent) of H-1B Visa Holders are females, There are about 2,45,517 (79.2 percent) males.

The Philippines is the only nation in Top 10 H-1B Visa Holders wherein there are more females (1,712, 52.7 percent) than males (1,519, 46.7 percent).
