Three Parties Couldn't Defeat Ysrcp Jointly In This Municipality

Update: 2021-11-17 07:58 GMT
It is known that Andhra Pradesh went for the Municipal polls recently after the election commission paved way for the same. However, the Kuppam Municipality, Penugonda Municipality, Nellore Corporation and Akividu Municipality have turned out as the crucial battle fields in the state for obvious reasons.

Out of these battlefields one election everyone eagerly waited to know the end result is the Akividu Municipality. The reason for this is that three parties have joined forces to take on the YSRCP despite their different political stands.

Opposition Telugu Desam Party (TDP), Janasena that have parted ways before the 2019 elections and Communist Party of India (Marxist) have jointly contested the elections with coming to an agreement on the seat sharing.

As part of this, the Telugu Desam Party (TDP), Janasena and CPM have contested in 15, 5 and one wards respectively. Despite collective efforts and fight, they could not overpower YSRCP and the ruling outfit had won the Akividu Municipality quite comfortably.

Out of the 20 wards in the Akividu Municipality, YSRCP had won 12 wards, followed by TDP with 4 and Janasena with three wards. An independent candidate emerged victorious from a ward.

To show the supremacy of the ruling party in the elections, three parties could not stop the winning streak of the party which has been dominating the elections from the past two years. This also shows that the news coming on anti YSRCP media outlets that people are not happy with the government is nothing but false.

The political observers hoped for a tough of war in the elections. Quite contrary to what they expected, the elections turned out to be one sided with the YSRCP putting up doninating show.

Forget about other Municipalities and Corporations, TDP could not stop the YSRCP in Kuppam, Chandrababu Naidu's Assembly constituency. Out of the 25 wards, one ward fell for YSRCP unanimously.

In the remaining 24 wards too, YSRCP has won majority of the wards in the elections and leading in the remaining ones. The final verdict in the elections is expected to be out by today evening and there are high chances for the ruling outfit to claim Kuppam too.
