Team India has registered it first win during the ongoing Australia series by winning the 5th ODI played at Sydney Cricket Ground.

After winning the toss, Dhoni asked Australia to bat first. David Warner and Mitch Marsh power Australia to a commendable total of 330/7 in 50 Overs.

Shikhar Dhawan gave a flying start to India in the chasing with his 56 ball 78. Even though Kohli got out cheaply, Rohit Sharma and Manish Pandey steadied the innings. Unfortunately, Rohit fell on 99 to miss his 11th Century. Dhoni had a tough time on the field and he could just manage 34 runs of 42 deliveries. The star of the evening was Manish Pandey who scored his first ton in just 80 balls and also helped India win the thriller within 49.4 overs.

Rohit Sharma is the Man of the Series for 400-plus runs in the series and Manish Pandey bagged his first Man of the Match. Australia claim the ODI series 4-1.

Team India will be playing 3 T20s against Australia on Jan 26th, 29th and 31st respectively.
