Tirupati By-Elections Turning Out To Be An Interesting Political Game

After the Dubbaka by-elections, now all the eyes are on the Tirupati by-elections. The position fell vacant after MP Balli Durga Prasad passed away in September this year.

Bharatiya Janata Party(BJP) which claimed the Dubbaka seat is thinking to contest the Tirupati elections too without any alliance, while the other parties have different plans.

Media reports claim that BJP's former ally TDP which severed ties with BJP before the 2019 elections is reportedly making plans to join hands with the party and contest the elections.

The Telangana wing of BJP surprised everyone by announcing that they will contest the GHMC elections in Telangana without an alliance, but the BJP-Jana Sena will join hands for Tirupati elections.

Coming to the opposition TDP which lost the 2019 elections cheaply announced former MP and Union minister Panabaka Lakshmi will as their candidate in the elections. Lakshmi lost the 2019 elections to Balli Durga Prasad.

It is interesting to know, how TDP field Panabaka Lakshmi in the crucial by-elections when she lost the previous elections.

Looking at the chances of the BJP and TDP alliance, earlier Union Home Minister Amit Shah made it clear that the doors for TDP in the alliance were closed and there is no second thought in that. Let's see how BJP responds to the alleged alliance.
