The much-awaited elections in four states and one Union Territory, West Bengal, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Assam, and Puducherry are likely to be held in a few months from now.

Ahead of the polls, the Election Commission is expected to tour in the poll-bound regions to carve out an election plan, to conduct the General elections without any issues.

If we have to take anything from the media reports, the Election Commission will tour the poll-bound states and Union Territory in this week only and the election schedule will be announced after the 15th of this month reportedly.

Out of the five regions,  Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Puducherry are likely to have a single-phase election. While West Bengal and Assam might have more than one phase for the Assembly polls.

The Election Commission is said to be working on making elaborate arrangements to see that the Assembly elections in the poll-bound states will be held before the 1st of May so that the CBSE board exams will not get clashed.

It is said that along with the Assembly elections, the Election Commission is likely to release the election data for Tirupati-by elections. The by boll is expected to be a four face political battle.

All the political parties in Andhra Pradesh are taking Tirupati by-polls seriously. The ruling YSRCP is aiming to retain the seat, while the opposition TDP is aiming to win the post to prove that it is still in the race.

On the other hand, the BJP-Janasena alliance wants to start their first political fight in Andhra Pradesh with a bang by winning the by-poll.
