A most heart-wrenching incident was reported recently, where a wife ended her life after the last rites of her deceased husband, who breathed his last due to the novel Coronavirus. The duo got married 11 months ago.
Going into detail, Kiran(30) and Pooja(22) got married 11-months ago and were residing in the IT Capital of India Bengaluru. Kiran had tested positive for Covid earlier this month and was admitted to a hospital. While undergoing treatment, he breathed his last at a private hospital in Bengaluru on Saturday.
After the 30-year-old passed away battling the deadly virus, his dead body was shifted to his native place in Bommenahalli in Bangalore East Tehsil of the district and his last rites were held there.
Unable to bear the pain of losing her husband to the Covid pandemic, the 22-year-old took the extreme step and ended her life by hanging, media reports claimed. Tragedy hit the family as the husband and wife lost their lives within hours apart.
