Train Reservation bookings From April 15

Update: 2020-04-02 13:43 GMT
The Centre has categorically said once again that there was no intention of extending the lock down. On Thursday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi held a video conference with the top officials, wherein the government has categorically said that there was no question of extending the lock down beyond April 15. But, the withdrawal, according to sources, could be phase wise.

One strong indication that the lock down is going to be lifted is that the Railways are going to open reservation bookings from April 15. The bookings could be done from that date as the lock down ends on April 14. Railway sources indicated that initially passenger trains would be started and this would gradually extend to other trains. Everything would be done in a phased manner, the officer said.  It may be recalled that the Railways have cancelled all the trains till April 14 in view of the unprecedented lock down imposed by the Government due to the Corona virus scare.

Sources also say that the air travel too could open up from April 15. The bookings are likely to begin from April 16. If sources are to be believed, Indigo, Spice Jet, Go Air and other flight services could start their flights from April 15.
