The army wants to shower flowers on Corona warriors. Very good. The chose Gandhi Hospital for that. Laudable. The army flew choppers for that. Very nice. But, why cut trees for that?
In Gandhi Hospital , where the Army wanted to shower flowers from choppers on the medical and para medical staffers, the authorities had to cut many trees and some tree branches to ensure that the flowers sent from air fall exactly on the staff of the Gandhi hospital. The civic staff cut the trees on Saturday itself. The army officials felt that the trees and their branches would be obstacles for the flower shower. So, they ordered the trees to be cut. Many tree lovers are questioning this decision. "why should trees be cut for this. This is ridiculous," said an environmentalist.
Even otherwise, lot of greenery was lost in Gandhi Hospital because of the frequent spraying of disinfectants. Several twigs and branches were damaged because of this. To add to this, the felling of the trees happened on Saturday. Many are upset at this loss of greenery at the Gandhi Hospital.
