With this, Mr. Singh became the eighth Chief Minister to tender his resignation before completing the tenure as the CM. In the past, CM's of both Congress and BJP have resigned from their post before the tenure came to an end.

The Chief Minister resigned one year before his tenure came to an end after the BJP leaders of the state wing reportedly complained to the Delhi leadership against the Chief Minister.

It is said that the Chief Minister resigned from the post after he met key leaders like National BJP President JP Nadda and others. After returning to the state, he submitted his resignation.

Baby Rani Mourya has accepted the Chief Minister's resignation and reportedly asked him to continue as in-term Chief Minister till a leader replaces him as the Chief Minister.
