CM Spent Rs 68 Lakh In 10 Months On Snacks

Update: 2018-02-06 13:48 GMT
Trivendra Singh Rawat who was sworn-in as Uttarakhand CM on March 18th last year has spent Rs 68,59,865 on snacks and refreshments for guests so far. Seems like, He took the famous quote 'Atidhi Devo Bhava' too seriously.

On January 22nd, Nainital-based RTI Activist Hemanth Singh filed an RTI Query seeking information about the expenditure on tea and snacks in CMO since Trivendra Singh Rawat took office. Government confirmed Mr.Rawat has spent over Rs 68 lakh.

Can Trivendra Singh Rawat defend this extreme spending? or Whether BJP will be able to back it's leader in this matter? Of course, Lakhs hardly matter to CMs as they deal only in crores.

Last year, Uttar Pradesh Government-led by Akhilesh Yadav made headlines after an RTI Query revealed Samajwadi Party Ministers spent Rs 9 crore in four years on tea and snacks.
