TRS Has No Incharge For Graduates MLC Polls

Update: 2021-02-18 03:01 GMT
The TRS is swimming against the tide on the issue of the Graduates Constituency MLC election. The party is finding that there is a  heavy anti-incumbency, both against the candidates as also against the party. The voters, it is increasingly becoming clear, are sullen and angry over the non-fulfilment of the promises made during the election.

An interesting telephonic conversation between a TRS tele caller and a young graduate voters is doing the rounds in Warangal-Karimnagar-Khammam Graduates Constituency. In the conversation, the graduate voter is heard taking the tele caller to task for doing nothing as an MLC. Where was the TRS candidate all these six years, the voter is heard asking. To many of his searing questions, the tele caller only had deafeaning silence as an answer.

As for the other constituency – the Hyderabad-Rangareddy-Mahabubnagar constituency – the less said the better. The TRS has not announced any candidate so far. More importantly, it has not even appointed an incharge for the election. As a result, the TRS workers and sympathisers are in a quandary as to who to vote for. There is a strong buzz that the TRS would extend its support to Left-leaning Prof. Nageshwar. For quite some, there have been rumours that the TRS would back Prof. Nageshwar. Now, it seems the buzz is turning out to be true. The TRS has not contested from this seat since 2009.
