TRS In Deep Trouble In Adilabad

Update: 2021-01-07 03:45 GMT
Till recently a citadel of the ruling TRS party, the undivided Adilabad district if fast turning out to be a headache for the party leadership. Intense groupism is prevailing in all the constituencies. The battle lines are clearly drawn between the old-timers and the new entrants. In most of the constituencies, the old-timers are unhappy at being given a short-shrift.

In Mudhole, the seniors and the party loyalists are unhappy with the ways of MLA Vithal Reddy. He is being accused of ignoring them and pampering new entrants with plum posts. In Mancherial, several senior TRS people have already left the party unable to stomach the growing domination of sitting MLA Diwakar Rao. The story is much the same in Khanapur. Senior TRS leader and ZPTC member Janu Bai has recently left the TRS and joined the BJP. District TRS leader Paidipally Ravinder Rao too is unhappy with MLA Rekha Naik's domination.

In Boath, Nirmal, Sirpur and Bellampalli too the situation is the same. Most  of the MLAs and MLCs are from parties like the Congress. These are unable to gel well with the old-timers in the TRS. This is leading to problems within the organization. In chennur too, Puranam Satish and sitting MLA Balka Suman are at loggerheads.

TRS insiders say that unless these differences are ironed out, the party could suffer huge losses in the 2023 elections. They feel KCR should step in quickly to set things right.
