Telangana CM KCR convened a Cabinet Meeting at Pragathi Bhavan Yesterday to discuss about the Early Polls. To his shock, Majority of the Ministers opined it isn't advisable to prepone the elections.
KCR believes this is the right time to go for Polls to encash the 'feel good factor'. Whereas, Ministers recalled how Atal Bihari Vajpayee 'India Shining Campaign' and Chandrababu Naidu 'Swarnanandhrapradesh' which were based on Feel Good Factor costed them dearly in 2004 Polls. They questioned what is the need to take unwanted risks when they can remain in power till April 2019.
Finally, TRS Supremo got convinced by the views expressed by the cabinet colleagues. He explained elections held six months before the end of tenure can't be termed as Early Polls as it's up to the Election Commission to decide the polling date. Looks like, KCR mayn't dissolve the Assembly anytime soon.
