TS Congress MLC Writes To Amit Shah To Probe Into TRS MLA's Citizenship
The citizenship of four-time Telangana Rashtra Samithi(TRS) Vemulawada MLA Dr. Ramesh Chennamaneni once again became the talk of the town with a Congress party leader writing a letter to Union Home Minister Amit Shah to sought directives to launch a probe on the MLAs travel history.
Going into detail, Vemulawada TRS Lawmaker Chennamaneni Ramesh reportedly traveled on his German passport raising many doubts on his citizenship.
Following this, Congress Legislature Party leader Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka wrote to Amit Shah to launch a probe into the alleged travel of the Vemulawada lawmaker.
In the latter, Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka highlighted the point that back in November 2019 the Central government scraped the lawmaker's citizenship for not fulfilling the set forth norms.
After the suspension of his Citizenship, the MLA filed a writ petition before the High Court of Telangana. As a result, the Court issued interim suspension orders.
The MLC pointed out that the MLA earlier told that the validity of his German passport ends on April 2, 2013, but the Assistant Solicitor General in the High Court filed an affidavit in High Court stating that Chennamaneni traveled to Germany from Chennai on his German passport in Dec 3rd week, 2019.
The MLC wrote to Amit Shah to obtain details on whether the Centre launched any criminal proceedings against the lawmaker on the grounds of playing fraud to get the Indian citizenship
