As usual, the Congress is stalked by the rebels. The rebels, who too expected seats and have been denied the same by the Congress High Command, are now giving the Congress tough time. There are protests, dharnas and even suicide attempts at the denial of sets. In some places, the rebels are planning to join the electoral fray. This could actually cut into the votes of the Congress official candidates.
Senior Congressman and former Station Ghanpur MLA Vijayarama Rao, Serilingampalli former MLA Bikshapathi Yadav, Vikarabad former MLA Narayana Rao and several others are now planning to contest as rebels. In fact Narayana rao and senior leader Nayini Rajender Reddy, who is also the Warangal district unit president, have quit the party. Reddy was expecting the party to nominate him as Warangal West constituency's official candidae. Simiarly, former minister Suddala Devaiah, who joined the Congress from the TDP, too is unhappy that he has been denied Choppadanti MLA ticket. On Wednesday, he is planning to meet his party workers and supporters to decide the future course of action.

For instance, Kasam Venkateswarlu, who has contested from the party twice in the past , has been denied ticket this time. Similarly, Yendala Lakshminarayana of Nizamabad urban seat is facing tough time because two ticket aspirants - Dharmapuri Aravind and Suryanarayana Gupta are in non-cooperation mood.
The only party, which seems to have controlled dissidence is the ruling TRS. After announcing the names of the candidates long back, the TRS leadership spoke to all rebels and convinced them to work for the party. Barring one or two seats, there is not much dissidence in the TRS.
