Tax Evasion: 50,000 for whistle blowers In TS

The Telangana government, which was enjoyed surplus budget after the bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh now reportedly struggling with lack of funds. The Telangana government is exploring new possibilities to increase State revenues and as part of that it is giving lucrative offers to tax evaders.
 
Telangana Minister for Commercial Taxes and Cinematography Talasani Srinivas Yadav has come up with an idea to mop up revenue collections and plug tax evasion. The Commercial taxes ministry headed by Srinivas Yadav has  decided to encourage whistle blowers by announcing 10 % percent of the amount detected. Besides that it also announced a cash prize of Rs 50,000. The department has introduced as a toll free number of 1800 4253787 to nab tax defaulters.
 
The Minister said tax monitoring cells would be formed to take necessary measures to check tax evasion, besides taking up special drives to collect taxes.
