As vaccinating the people is the main step in tackling the Covid pandemic, the Telangana government led by Chief Minister KCR is on a mission to take the vaccination percent in HYD to cent percent in the coming 15 days.
In this backdrop, a workshop was conducted at the Secretariat and key persons like Health Secretary, GHMC Commissioner and the respective collectors of four districts attended the workshop.
Telangana Chief Secretary (CS) Somesh Kumar who also attended the workshop said that the main agenda currently is to vaccinate the residents of the colonies in the city by 100 percent.
The CS said, door-to-door survey should be conducted to get the accurate data on those who have taken the vaccine doses and who are yet to take the same. Based on the data, plans should be made on vaccinating the beneficiaries.
To see that the residents of the colonies were given the vaccine, the concerned authorities should reach the colonies along with the vaccine doses to administer the jabs.
The CS added that around 90 percent of them who live in areas that fall under the jurisdiction of GHMC were given at least one dose of vaccine. The percentage of people receiving the first dose is 56 percent, while 34 percent of people were given both the doses, he said.
