No Alleged Irregularities Took Place In Darshan Tickets: Ttd

Update: 2021-09-25 09:48 GMT
The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams trust that runs the Tirumala temple had increased the number of Darshanam tickets issued per day to 8,000 and the tickets were made available for the devotees.

But the TTD had faced allegations of alleged scam in the issuance of the Darshanam tickets as the Reliance company's Jiomart was roped in by the trust to release the tickets.

To clear the airs on the allaged irregularities, YV Subba Reddy, the chairman of Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams(TTD) trust had rubbished these reports and said there is no truth in the fake news and reports.

As a response to the decision of roping in Jio Company for the technical support in issuing the online tickets for the Darshnam at the temple, Subba Reddy said that the decision was taken due to the technical issues faced by the original website.

Seeing that the devotees are having a few issues while booking tickets online, Jio Company approached us to lend a helping hand in dealing with the issues. Besides technical support, Jio Company offered infrastructure support too. While the support is worth around Rs 3 crore, the company is not taking a single rupee, he said.

The technical team of Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams(TTD) and a few experts at the Tata Consultancy Services(TCS) looked into the technical glitches after receiving a flood of complaints from the devotees. The devotees said, they faced issues while booking tickets in August and September, Subba Reddy said.

To see that devotees won't face such issues while booking tickets, TTD had reached out to a few agencies like , Amazon, Abhi bus, Book my Show. But the Jio Company said, it will offer the services for a free of cost including the cloud support, he maintained.

As the time to fix the errors and create another website for tickets sale was very less, the devotees were redirected to the Jiomart portal. The work is underway and no such redirections will happen from next month, TTD Chairman assured.

Saying that a few people are trying to spread false information on the TTD, Reddy appealed to the devotees to not believe such news.
