The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) trust that manages the holy shrine of Kaliyuga Daivam Lord Venkateswara had celebrated Hanuman Jayanti on Friday, the birth date of Lord Hanuma. The celebrations would go on for five days.

This mark the first Hanuman Jayanthi in the state after the board announced Anjanadri hills in Tirumala as the birthplace of Hanuman. However, Sri Hanumad Janmabhoomi Teertha Kshetra Trust of Karnataka has denied the claims.

The Executive Officer(EO) of TTD Dr. KS Jawahar Reddy took part in the celebrations held at the new temple in Akasa Ganga that was constructed recently. An abhisekham was performed today.

After the Abhishesam, Archana was performed to Lord Hanuma and Anjana Devi, his mother. Covid-19 protocols were followed during the celebrations. The celebrations were streamed on TTD’s Bhakti channel.

Silk robes were offered to the presiding deity Lord Hanuma by additional Executive Officer AV Dharma Reddy.
