A day after the merger of two factions in Tamil Nadu, About 19 AIADMK MLAs who are backing TTV Dhinakaran submitted individual letters to Governor Ch Vidyasagar Rao confirming their withdrawal of support to CM Palaniswami's Government. They demanded Trust Vote citing lack of confidence on the Tamil Nadu Chief Minister.
In the Assembly Polls, AIADMK won 134 out of 234 Seats in Tamil Nadu. At the time of Trust Vote, 122 AIADMK MLAs supported Palaniswami though Panneerselvam's Camp had voted against him. If 19 MLAs withdraw support to AIADMK, Palaniswami won't have the required majority of 117 seats to continue in power even if MLAs in Panneerselvam's camp vote for him.
Mannargudi Mafia has swung into action again. All the 19 Legislators in VK Sasikala's Camp have been shifted to a resort on Puducherry. Instead of a buses, Private Cars were used for bringing the MLAs safely to the Union Territory.
Governor might ask CM Palaniswami to prove his majority in the Assembly in the next few days.
