Two Doctors In Kurnool Tested COVID-19 Positive

Kurnool district of Andhra Pradesh continues to be the worst-hit district due to the fatal COVID-19 virus as the positive cases are increasing day by day. As an addition to these cases, two doctors in Kurnool tested positive for the virus.

With the two doctors testing positive for the virus, the toll of the doctors infected with the virus in the district reaches six. As of now, 261 positive cases of COVID-19 were reported in the district. Kurnool city alone witnessed 140 positive cases.

61 fresh cases were reported in the state taking the toll of the positive cases in the state to 1,061. While 145 have recovered from the virus and discharged from the hospitals. The state currently has 781 active cases as of now.

The state Health Department has said that out of the newly reported cases the majority cases are from Kurnool, Nandyala, Nandikotkuru areas. The authorities have declared more than 50 red zones in the district as the cases are increasing rapidly.

The toll of positive cases of COVID-19 in India stood at 24,506 with reporting 1,429 cases in the last 24 hours. The fatalities of COVID-19 in the country reached 775.
