Two key BJP Leaders Removed From Posts For Fund Misuse

Update: 2019-04-10 13:25 GMT
Though the BJP does not have much to boast about in AP, it is creating a record of sorts when two of its key party leaders and MP candidates had to resign from their posts after they were found to have misused the party funds. The Central leadership of the BJP has asked them to resign from their party posts. The chief allegation against them is that they have submitted fake bills with inflated figures. A scrutiny of expenses of one of the meetings revealed that Rs 50 lakh was spent as against the Rs 75 lakh claimed. They have also been found to have misused the funds. The leaders were asked to submit their resignations from the party positions.

But, the party, however, asked them to continue as candidates from Vizianagaram and Nellore respectively. The party national leadership was upset at the poor turnout to the meetings of the national leaders like Rajnath Singh and decided to look into the accounts. During the inspection of accounts, the misuse came to light.
