Two Prisoners escape from Tihar Jail

Two Undertrail Prisoners successfully managed to escape from Tihar jail through the tunnel they dub under the wall in the wee hours of Sunday. While one of them has been nabbed by the cops, The other prisoner is still on the run.

Jail Authorities sensed something had gone terribly wrong when the two undertrail prisoners didn't respond to the roll call. After raising an alarm, They begun the serach operation which led them to the tunnel. Soon, The Delhi Police were alerted to kick off a massive manhunt.

Sources say, The undertrail prisoners have been lodged in sub-jail 7 which is meant for inmates aged between 18-21. Jail Authorities suspect they might have used mechanical instruments to dig the tunnel.

Tihar Jail DG and PRO are unavailable for comment. But, The Jail Officials have confirmed the escape of the two prisoners.
