Amid row over Centre not keen to accept the financial aid to flood ravaged Kerala from Foreign Countries, United Arab Emirates issued a clarification that it is yet to announce financial aid for the Southern State officially.
Ahmed Albanna, who is UAE's ambassador to India, informed his country has set a National Committee to ensure the funds are spent for the welfare of the flood victims in Kerala. He clarifies UAE Government is yet to announce the financial aid.
Indian Government has already maintained it hasn't received any offer for financial assistance from any country for Kerala.
However, Kerala CM Pinarayi Vijayan tweeted UAE offered Rs 700 crore for Kerala.
