Bengaluru's 1st Woman Cab Driver commits Suicide

Veertha Bharthi who shot to fame as the first woman cab driver of Bengaluru committed suicide at her flat on Monday night. She was found hanging from a ceiling fan in her residence at Nagashetty Halli.

Sources say, Veertha Bharthi has been in a live-in relationship with a transgender since a while. She is also working with an NGO which has been working for the upliftment of the LGBT Community.

People who were close to Veertha Bharthi revealed that the transgender with whom she has been in a relationship used to abuse her verbally and physically. They even observed the Cab Driver being in a depressed state since one week. However, A neighbour of Veertha Bharthi feels break-up mayn't be the sole reason for the extreme step.

Cops were trying the unlock the phone of Veertha Bharthi to know the exact reasons which led to her death.
