Don't play with Defence Ministry: Shiv Sena to Modi

Update: 2017-08-19 12:10 GMT
Shiv Sena President Uddhav Thackeray advised PM Narendra Modi to take defence ministry seriously as India is facing terrorism from Pakistan and also staring at a war with China. He made these comments while responding on the lack of full-time defense minister for India since few months.

Ever since Manohar Parrikar became Goa CM in March this year, Finance Minister Arun Jaitley was given additional charge of the Defence Ministry. In his recent statement, Mr.Parrikar told he would take up defense ministry once again if he loses in the upcoming by-election in Goa.

Shiv Sena responded seriously on this statement of Manohar Parrikar. Uddhav Thackeray opined anarchy will prevail in the country if such a situation continues. 'If Maharashtra CM Fadnavis feels lawlessness will prevail if complete loan waiver is implemented, Anarchy will prevail if a losing CM becomes Defence Minister. Don't play with Defence Ministry,' he told.
