The new Maharashtra government of the newly formed alliance comprising Shiv Sena-NCP-Congress headed by Uddhav Thackeray has passed the floor test in the Assembly.
The floor test was conducted by NCP MLA Dilip Walse Patil, who is currently essaying the role of pro tem speaker of Maharashtra Assembly. Earlier all the MLAs were sworn in without CM candidate Uddhav. CM Udhav took oath as the new Chief Minister of the state.
169 MLAs have supported the collation government. The BJP party which has created many issues in the state found fault with pro tem speaker behavior and walked out of Assembly. The Floor Test was conducted without the BJP leaders.
Earlier, BJP leader Fadnavis questioned on how can they give summons at Midnight on the Assembly meetings. He said the oath-taking ceremony of Chief Minister and Ministers are against the Constitution. With both Opposition and newly form government leaders debating o this, pro tem speaker has postponed the meeting to Sunday.
