Union Minister Nitin Gadkari stunned everyone by openly announcing that he waters plants at his bungalow in New Delhi with the urine he collects in a 50-litre can. He made these comments during an event on sprinkle irrigation systems in Nagpur.
Describing Urine as a free home-made fertiliser, Nitin Gadkari claims to have collected urine in a 50-litre can and asked his gardener to sprinkle it on some of the plants. He continued to do the same after noticing that plants which were watered with urine grew one-and-a-half times bigger than the rest.
Nitin Gadkari used to collect the urine in a small plastic cover every day and later added the content to the 50-litre can. He say urine contains nutrients like Urea and Nitrogen. The minister for road transport and national highways advises people to use urine for orange tree to see tremendous growth in the count of fruits.
