IPL 2020: One More Record Under Chris Gayle Name

Ace Jamaican cricketer Chris Gayle, who made a special name for him in the shortest form of cricket is undoubtedly a legend in the T20 format. The destructive batsman has added one more record under his name.

Chris Gayle, who represents the Kings XI Punjab in the Indian Premier League(IPL) produced herpes with his bat yesterday. He missed a century with just a single run and got out on 99.

His 99 runs include seven sixes. With this, he made an incredible record of hitting the most number of sixes in the shortest form of the game. He has hit 1001 sixes in his career in T20 cricket.

Chris Gayle has hit his first six in 2006. Shot to 2020 he emerged as the batsman to hit the most number of sixes in T20 format across various tournaments. West Indies all-rounder Kieron Pollard is in second place with 690 sixes.

He holds the record of hitting the most number of maximums in various tournaments. In IPL, he has hit 349 sixes, followed by CPL (162), Bangladesh Premier League (132), and T20 World Cup (60).

Chris Gayle who has earlier played for the play bold army has smashed 263 maximums when playing for the team. Irrespective of teams and tournaments he is a destructive bowler.

After Universal Boss, Chris Gayle made a record of sixes, former Indian Opener Virender Sehwag hailed the batsman and even called him Bradman of T20 format.
