US Capitol chaos: 4 people dead, curfew imposed in Washington

A tense situation aroused in Washington, the United States capital after thousands of outgoing President Donald Trump's supporters stormed into the US Capitol Hill building.

The march of Donald Trump's supporters resulted in the halting of US Congress officially confirming Joe Biden's victory over Donald Trump in the US Presidential elections held in November, last year.  

With the protestors breaching the security and entering the premises, the cops have swung into action and evacuated the Lawmakers from the US Capitol.

Due to the violent protests, four people died. While one woman is believed to have died when the police opened fire at the protestors. The three others died during the protest reportedly.

52 of the protests have been arrested by the Washington police for creating a ruckus. The situation reached a level the mayor of Washington, DC, Muriel Bowser imposed a curfew.

Later,  Muriel Bowser took to the Microblogging site Twitter to announce the news of the extension of the curfew for 15 more days. She shared the Government orders in her tweet.

'I have issued Mayor's Order 2021-003, extending the public emergency declared earlier today for a total of 15 days, until and unless provided for by further Mayoral Order,' Mayor's tweet reads.
