US Presidential Elections: Results Predicted To Get Delayed!

Update: 2020-11-03 12:39 GMT
The much-awaited United States Presidential elections have started already. Compared to the previous term, the ongoing elections are expected to see a growth in vote percentage. Even record votes were polled in early voting in the nation.

In the wake of both President Donald Trump and Democratic party candidate Joe Biden hoping that they will make it to the White House, reports claimed that election results might be delayed.

The reports attributed the rise in mail-in voting percentage in the presidential elections with the Coronavirus outbreak for the delay in announcing the election results.

Given the pandemic times, a majority of American local voters have opted to cast their votes through mail-in ballot, one of the ways to exercise their voting right. While the elderly voters have chosen to cast votes through postal ballots.

With a major share of votes being voted from postal ballots, it's a lengthy process to count the votes polled as the votes should match the registration ID of the voters.

Generally, the counting process in the United States is a quick process and the results will be announced on the very same of the election date. But the reports have something else to say.

If the reports a[pear to be true, then this will be the second time the election results will get delayed. Back in 2016, it took more than a month to count the votes.
