Update: 2020-06-19 13:00 GMT
The dreaded virus originated from the Dragon Country China has spread to over 200 nations across the globe and some countries are going through the worst phase with the pandemic.

The situation in the world has reached an alarming level that without a potential vaccine for the contagious disease the prevailing condition will turn more ugly and disastrous. Even the superpower nations are finding it hard to combat the spread of the virus.

In the wake of the dangerous situation, the World Health Organisation(WHO) top scientist, Dr. Soumya Swaminathan said that they are very optimistic that the potential vaccine that can cure the pandemic might be available before the end of this year.

The Chief Scientist of WHO made these remarks at a press briefing held at agency headquarters, Geneva. The briefing was held on the latest drug trial findings.

He also cleared all the airs on the anti-malarial drug hydroxychloroquine which was dubbed as a magical drug by United States President Donald Trump and said that the drug did not show any impact on preventing the virus casualties.

Talking about the future vaccine for the pandemic, the Chief Scientist maintained that, there are as many as 10 candidates in the human testing phase and the good thing is around three of them are launching into a new phase giving hopes for the vaccine.
