It's already been a month that the polling in Andhra Pradesh is over. But, tensions are still continuing in Krishna districtâs Gannavaram assembly constituency. The ruling TDP and the Opposition YSRCP are still battling it out. TDP candidate and sitting MLA Vallabhaneni Vamsi is still trying to attack the supporters of YSRCP candidate Yarlagadda Venkateswar Rao. Vamsi is upset that his arch rival Dr Dasari Balavardhana Rao, former MLA of Gannavaram, is siding with Yarlagadda. He knows that Dasari and Yarlagadda are a formidable combination. So, even after the polling is long over Vamsi Vallabhaneni is still trying to prove a point. He is daring Yarlagadda to visit his home or that he would come over to Yarlagadda's house. Yarlagadda immediately lodged a complaint and sought police protection. Vamsi said he had saved Yarlagadda many a time just because his best friend Kodali Nani, the YSRCP MLA from Gudivada, asked him. Yet Yarlagadda does not have the courtesy, he said.
Gannavaram is among the most keenly fought seats in Krishna district with both TDP and the YSRCP battling it out to the last. Let's see who will have the last laugh when the votes are counted on May 23.
