Venkaiah Naidu gets a Stent in AIIMS Hospital

Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu has been admitted to the Cardio-Neuro Centre of the AIIMS Hospital in Delhi on Friday. Upon undergoing angiography test, A stent was placed as one of the vessels in his heart was found narrowing. The surgery was performed under the supervision of AIIMS Cardiology Professor Dr Balram Bhargava.

In August this year, Venkaiah Naidu has undergone a complete body check-up. That's when a heart-related problem was identified by the Doctors. Vice President was treated according to his condition on Friday. He will be discharged Today.

Venkaiah Naidu actually planned to quit politics in 2020. Much to his surprise, Prime Minister Narendra Modi choose him as NDA's Vice Presidential candidate. Initially, Venkaiah was reluctant to accept the proposal. The 68-Year-Old, however, succumbed to the pressure mounted by the party leadership.

During his tenure as Union Minister, Venkaiah Naidu has been very supportive of AP Government and helped the state receive both funds & projects.
