Union Urban Development Minister M Venkaiah Naidu received yet another portfolio 'I&B Ministry' during the recent Cabinet reshuffle. This portfolio was earlier handled by Prakash Javadekar and he was elevated to Cabinet Rank before being appointed as HRD Minister in place of Smriti Irani.
Just couple of days after taking charge as Information and Broadcasting Minister, Venkaiah Naidu went for surprise inspection at Shahtri Bhawan in New Delhi. When the Union Minister visited the work place by 9.30 am, Some Officials haven't attended the duty by them and an explanation was sought from them for being late. He also observed the cleanliness in working area and washrooms.
Venkaiah Naidu given directions to the Joint Secretaries to monitor issues related to punctuality and cleanliness on daily basis.
