What did Venkaiah Naidu request YSRC MPs?

The Private Member Bill moved by Congress MP KVP Ramachandra Rao in Rajya Sabha will come up for discussion on July 22nd. Even a voting is expected to take place soon after the debate ends.

Union Minister M Venkaiah Naidu met YSR Congress MPs Mekapati Rajamohan Reddy and YV Subba Reddy to seek their support for Private Member Bill & GST Bill in the upcoming Monsoon Session. They conveyed to the Naidu that YCP would support the Bill on Special Category Status irrespective of whoever might have moved it.

On the other hand, Sonia Gandhi is likely to discuss with Congress MPs on the strategy to be followed for passing the Private Member Bill during the parliamentary party meeting. Congress leadership might even issue a whip asking its MPs to attend Parliament when discussion & voting on private member bill takes place. AP Congress Chief Raghuveera Reddy and few others were touring Delhi to seek support from various parties for the Private Member Bill.
