Please Go To Your Seats: Venkaiah urges AP MPs

Update: 2018-03-05 12:45 GMT
AP MPs rushed to the well and demanded justice to Andhra Pradesh by holding placards after the Budget Session resumed on Monday. They tried to disrupt the proceedings of the house while seeking Special Category Status and demanded debate on the Adjournment Motion sought by them.

Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu found it very difficult to put the house in order. The Rajya Sabha Chairman kept saying he wishes to make a crucial announcement. 'Hello…Venkatesh, Mohan Rao, Madam….Ramachandra Rao Ji Please Go To Your Seats For A While. No Commentary While Sitting. Whatever I Am Trying To Do Is In The Interest Of The System & Interest Of The House,' he said and then the MPs had gone to their seats.

Regarding the notice given by Congress MP KVP Ramachandra Rao and CM Ramesh seeking debate on the promises of AP Reorganisation Act 2014, Venkaiah made it clear such an issue can't be discussed under Section 267. He suggested the  two MPs to offer notice under appropriate Section to facilitate a debate in the Upper House.

Rajya Sabha Chairman warned CM Ramesh & other AP MPs who resumed protests by saying, 'We are in Parliament…the entire country is watching us…don't lower the dignity of the House. This isn't the way!'. Then, AP MPs came back into the Well holding placards and raising slogans.
