Former Indian Cricketer Venkatesh Prasad on Wednesday applied for the job of Indian Cricket Team's head coach job. 'Yes, I have applied for it,' he confirms.
Apparently, Former Team India Director Ravi Shastri and Chairman of Senior Selection Committee Sandeep Patil have also been in race for the job of Team India's head coach. Hence, The competition would be very touch.
Earlier, Venkatesh Prasad worked as Bowling Coach for Team India between 2007 to 2009. He is even part of bowling department when Team India won inaugural ICC World T20 in 2007.
Representing India at the International level, Prasad took 96 wickets in 33 tests and 196 wickets in 161 ODIs.
Currently, Venkatesh Prasad is serving as the Chairman of BCCI Junior Selection Committee.
