Veteran Indian industrialist Ratan Tata receives first dose of Covid-19 vaccine
Indian industrialist, philanthropist, former chairman of Tata Sons Ratan Tata received his first dose of the anti-Covid vaccine on Saturday as part of the undergoing second phase of the nationwide vaccination drive.
The Business Tycoon took to Microblogging site Twitter to share the news of receiving his vaccine dose. However, he did not share his pictures of receiving the vaccine.
"Very thankful to have gotten my first vaccination shot today. It was effortless and painless. I truly hope everyone can be immunised and protected soon," Ratan Tata tweeted.
The nationwide second phase of the vaccination drive on the 16th of January. In the ongoing phase, people above 60 years of age and people above 45 years of age having comorbidities against coronavirus will be vaccinated.
Looking at the vaccination count across the nation, so far a total of 2,82,18,457 beneficiaries have been administered the vaccine, while 20,53,537 vaccinations were carried out in the past 24 hours alone.
